I so love your Tara and Kennedy (although I'm longing for Will to get in on this .. and have a freaking fit when she sees the two of them, but anyway). The "bumble ass" thing just makes me smile, but at the time I read it and now I'm thinking about it. As was seeing Kennedy regress for a moment into a little girl who liked My Little Ponies was just priceless. It's clear that you love giving her these tiniest of tiny flashes, they just shine.

The computer art in this was wonderful too, I'm tremendously impressed. I think it's a great way to give the chapters a little something extra - it's not needed, but it's very welcomed. Question though: Whose the redhead guy in the opening pic? My two two guesses are: Fix or You.

I'm so happy to see "The Damned" back. See? Losing your job has a good side. Who needs worry about stuff like "food" and "rent"? Food and rent are for pussies.

After the doom and gloom of the last three chapter, the frequent changes in format, and the general ambivalance I had to the whole project, I really needed to get in touch with my inner Kennedy again. I love my characters being contradictory. I love the fact that Kennedy is hell on wheels, butch and surly, but still will braid her girlfriend's hair and has strong opinions on which Transformer is the coolest. Tara's really coming into her own for me. It took me a little while to get into her newly living skin, and in a lot of ways, she has much more gravitas than Kennedy does.


I remember reading an interview with the comic writer Greg Rucka about his female heroine in Queen and Country, a very realistic espionage comic. He said something about how the simple fact that the main character is a female completely changes the dynamic of an action show. Think of it this way: The hero walks down a dark alleyway. Now think of that hero being a woman. The tension increases, her reactions are different, it gains a different kind of depth.

I'm gonna get to work on another pic for The Damned. I still haven't gotten around to modeling Tara. She's such a peculiar looking girl that it's hard to nail it.

Bah. My Internet computer is an 800x600 resolution so I only managed a couple paragraphs before I got annoyed at having to scroll back and forth.

What I've read so far is faboo, though! I'm just so excited to see new bits. I will read more when I find an Internet ready computer with a bigger screen. :)

I am sorry about the resolution, I tried to format it for 800x600 which is the size of the pictures. And should have made it good without having to SCRoll, But html insists on indents, eVEN when I set it to not have them, The fucker. So it didnt work. I will tell you what, I am redoing the site soon for chapter four, if I ever get my site redone finished. I will see what I can do about making it more 8x6 friendly.

Wolf(who hates the 800x600 res, but acknowledges that other people dont)

Oh, and btw, ignore the random cappiness, as my driver for the KEYboard is fucked until I reboot, and I can't right now.

So halfway through reading the new pages I got called into work, and now I don't remember exactly what it was that made me laugh out loud when I was reading them. I believe it had something to do with a Tijuana hooker. Dropping something like a Tijuana hooker? I don't know. I'll have to look it up.

I love the new stuff. Your characterization of Tara is great. How she's trying to be the calming force in the situation even though she really doesn't have much of a clue what she's doing there.

Keep it up, dude! Lovin' it. And more pictures to go with. Always a fabulous extra to the reading. :)

Wow has life hated me lately. And you too, apparently, since I'm only now getting in here to read and leave feedback.

First up, as probably goes without saying, I liked it. Though I admit that this is probably my least favourite part thus far, and I think it may mostly stem from the fact that I feel I only have a basic, highly tenuous grasp on what's going on. I'm all kinds of confused as to what, exactly, Fix is having the girls do, or even if the things they're doing are on his command - sort of like gay Charlie's Angels.

My confusion could be due to one of several possibilities, including: 1) We're not supposed to understand yet; 2) It's been months since I read all these parts together and I've forgotten stuff; 3) I am, in fact, legally brain dead. When we get the next part of Chapter 4, I think I'll read the whole thing from the beginning, see if that clears a few things up.

But anyway, by "least favourite part so far", it's still incredible stuff. You had some great lines in this one - and I love you so much I even went and noted down which ones amused me the most:

  • Tara made it sound like an accusation. Tara could do that with "pass the butter".
  • Tara had a Master's in not talking about it.
  • ...could freeze a charging rhino and make it wonder if it'd kissed its momma before it left.
  • "See me? I'm a LazyBoy with feet."

Also, I wanted to point out that I think it's really interesting how every time Tara thinks about Willow, it always seems to come with death implications. Just in how Tara makes the correlation ... Willow's the ghost that haunts her. Interesting indeed.

I anxiously await the next part. Given how late I am, I'm sure that'll be any day now, right?
